Okay so things are going on slowly.
I have not made any metal brackets yet as I can not grind and weld and make my normal noises at night as my little girl is trying to sleep. What I have done is to start mocking up the stuff outside the engin bay to make it easier to work on.
So I took my block from the broken motor. mounted the side plate and water pump as these are the major mounting points on that side and then mouned the alternator and hung the charger again. All looks good. only thing I wonder about is the mouning to the block. If I had to use the SA block alternator mounting points on the oil filter side it is going to be very tight and almost impossable to work with as the SC14 is so long. If I can drill and tap the A+ block alternator mounting points that would make my life allot easier. So anybody done this before? As it is me I will drill and tapp it metric and just stamp the thread size on the block so nobody can get confused.
Okay now for the pics.
